Stephen Lawrence "Steve" Winwood (12 de maio de 1948 em Handsworth, Birmingham, Inglaterra) é um compositor e multi-instrumentista inglês que, além de sua carreira solo, foi membro das bandas Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, Go e Blind Faith.
Praticamente desconhecido da grande maioria dos fãs de música (principalmente daqueles de cabeça mais fechada), Steve Winwood entra facilmente no rol dos maiores compositores ingleses. Além disso, Winwood é multi-instrumentista com tendências virtuosas em mais de um deles, fantástico intérprete e dono de uma belíssima e arrebatadora voz.
Com apenas 14 anos, entrou para o o Spencer Davis Group, e aos 17 já tinha uma música no primeiro lugar das paradas. Muitas vezes relacionado com o que se convencionou chamar de blue eyed soul, principalmente no início de sua carreira, emprestou sua marcante voz para diversos clássicos durante mais de quarenta anos, unindo ao rock diversos estilos musicais além do soul, mas também funk, blues e jazz.
